"Love Never Fails... So faith, hope, love remain, these three, but the greatest of these is love." 1st Corinthians 13:8 & 13

My dad, Richard Slade Cobb, U.S.N., passed away from this world, July 6, 2000. My dad was a man of integrity and loyalty.  Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me a dad who taught me to never give up.  My dad also reminded me there are some things one must let go. Dad and mom loved each other.

THIS IS MY DAD AT WORK!  GO NAVY

My dad wore the wings of an avaitor. Now my dad rides on the wings of angels.

Here is my mom. Sarah (Sally) Ann Summers Cobb. We were together in Hawaii on vacation!

(We flew "stand-by") Thank's Dad!

I have not forgotten about you. I will not forget the promises we share.  I feel your heartbeat. I am with you.  I cannot locate you. I have not given up!

If you know where my mom is located, please contact me. I miss my mom more than anyone can imagine.  The last time mom and I spoke was October 22, 2007.  My mom was then moved to an undisclosed location and I am denied access.  This is very sad for both of us.

The Words of Mother Teresa

I see Christ in every person. I was touched because He said: "I was hungry, I was thirsty, I was naked, I was sick, I was suffering, I was homeless and you took care of me."

(reprinted with permission Mother Teresa "The Joy in Loving")

A Note About Grief...

Grief can have a quality of profound healing because we are forced to a depth of feeling that is usually the threshold of awareness.  - Stephen Levine

God grant me the place and space and time to grieve.  Through my grief, teach me about myself.  About how much there is of me.  Through our grief, bring us together.

(reprinted with permission from "The Color Of Light")

In God's economy, nothing is wasted.  Through failure, we learn a lesson in humility, which is probably needed, painful though it is.

(reprinted with permission- "AS BILL SEES IT." p 31)

Do you find prayer confusing?  Not sure what to pray about?  Try this one!

Prayer

Lord make me an instrument of Thy peace.  Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury; pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light and where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we re pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

My Favorite Scripture:

LOVE is always patient and kind; it is never jealous.  Love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish.

Love does not take offense, and it is never resentful.

Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in the truth.

Love is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes.

Love does not come to an end.
